Pakistan – November 18, 2009. We have been working with a Pentecostal pastor in Northern Pakistan that has made some tremendous decisions for his local church and surroundings. In the beginning of this year, he accepted the Oneness of God and was baptized by another one of our Apostolic brethren in Pakistan. He baptized his congregation and began preaching this Apostolic message to everyone –including Muslims!
In Pakistan, it is illegal to preach the Gospel to Muslims, but Bro. Omar has continued to obey the Lord. He is working in very dangerous territory. Just two months ago, his cousin was killed because he was witnessing to Muslims. This past month, he told me that he asked for prayer from us in the U.S. because he was traveling to very densely Muslim area. During his mission, he was incarcerated for 17 days. He continues to preach the Gospel. I am pasting his email below without full names and details for his protection. If you want to contribute to his work, please contact us and we will provide you with details on how to support Bro. Omar.
Bro. Baumeister,
Greetings, I hope you are fine by the grace of God,
I am apologizing because I could not contact you for many days. Praise the Lord. We were arrested in the early part of November due to preaching the Gospel. The local police arrested us and kept us in jail for17 days.
It happened when we were brought newly printed biblical literature for the trip. We went to visit to a Muslim who was interested in the Gospel. Unfortunately we couldn’t visit him yet, because a Muslim leader reported us to the police (preaching the Gospel is prohibited in our Muslim country). So they arrested all of us and took away all of our literature.
I am writing you as we were just released and finally are home after 17 days. We perceived that it was God’s plan. There were 3500 prisoners in the jail. During those 17 days we were able to meet 1500 Muslims and 70 Christians in the jail. We were very happy because God gave us the chance to serve Him in the jail. We shared the Gospel to the prisoners.
Thank God that we are all safe and sound by your prayer. You are always in our heart and prayer in all hardships. May God bless you and give you more and more chance to spread the Gospel in the world.
Bro. Omar

This testimony stirred me tonight as I read the letter from Bro Omar. I am praying for God’s protection upon him.
It also brings conviction to my own spirit to be more bold with this precious Gospel that has been given to me.
I love the web site and I look forward to the future of Baumeister & Coskun
God bless
I am challenged by this report. Dr. Baumeister has been used by God to effect change in Pakistan. Also, it is personally gratifying to me to see Aydin Coskun involved in the Apostolic News. Well done!
In this dark world it is our hope to be the light of truth. Thank you Pastor Young and Pastor King for your leadership and example in this truth.
