Pago Pago, Samoa - Last month, a powerful earthquake caused a tsunami to hit the islands of Western Samoa and America Samoa. Thank God, none of our Pentecostal saints in Samoa or American Samoa were injured. We did have one minister in American Samoa that his truck was washed up the mountainside by the tsunami wave.
In both countries, many villages along the coastlines were devastated. Some villages were mostly destroyed. So we feel very blessed that we had no injuries or death among our church folks. Although several people were out of jobs due to the tsunami/earthquake damaging their workplaces here in American Samoa. Most of them started back to work last week.
Thankfully, we were in Tonga at the time of the tsunami/earthquake. The water did come up to the bottom of our tires on our SFC car and church van, but, it did not come into our house. We are only about 150 ft. from the ocean. The tsunami split and went to each side of us. Thank the Lord for His protecting hand upon us.
