La Reunion – December, 2009. Apostolic News. The church in La Reunion has wanted to start a second church for some time.  The biggest problem with that was the economy due to high rents and property purchase prices.

I told the brethren, we are just going to have to pray and ask God to open the door.  There is no other way we can do it. Last month a contact was made in Reunion from a Trinitarian Preacher in Mauritius, who was converted  to the truth this past June during a trip we made to Mauritius.  He contacted one of our pastors here in Reunion to let him know that a trinitarian church group with a building was looking for a pastor. They immediately followed it up and God did the rest.

Open door!  We gave them a pastor and they have accepted the truth.  We have baptized six of them already in Jesus Name.  We are expecting to baptize more of them tomorrow.

Building?  Signed the papers today, three years with automatic renewal and the owner says he wants the church to use it permanently.  No rent. No purchase.  Small minimal government tax on property to pay annually.  That’s all!  The size of this beautiful cement block building with tile floors, modern windows, great security, kitchen, classrooms, three restrooms, etc. It has 150 sq meters of land and and lots of space for parking.  It has a paved street and side parking.  The rent on such a building would be a minimum of $US 6,000.00 monthly.  Location: just outside the 2nd largest city which is St. Pierre here  in La Reunion.  Where did we want to start a church?  In St. Pierre.  Is this a miracle and answer to prayer?  Absolutely! To God be the glory!

The owner is a well known licensed building contractor.  It was great seeing him and his wife worship the Lord with their whole heart today.  They say they have received more truth in just one month than they had received at their former church during the past 20 years and they are telling everyone this.
