Sikes, LA – January 7, 2010. Funeral services for Rev. C. N. Tucker, 64, of Sikes will be held at Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 12 p.m. with Bro. Todd Tucker, Bro. Thomas K. Smith, Bro. Kevin Cox, Bro. Floyd Hawthorne, and Bro. Jerry Holland officiating. A graveside service will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson at 3 p.m., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville. Anyone unable to attend the services are welcome to attend the graveside service.
Bro. Tucker was born November 6, 1945 in West Monroe and passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a resident of Sikes, a Minister of the United Pentecostal Church Organization, and a member of the Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church. His life’s work consisted of Pastoral and Evangelistic endeavors that began in Monroe and he later pastored churches in Winnsboro, Noble, and Sikes. He was a faithful husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone that he met, and by every life that he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Houston Alson Tucker; mother, Lillie Mae Tucker; first wife, Sigrid Tucker; brothers, Ronald Tucker, Donald Tucker, Marcus Tucker; sister, Wilma Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Adelle Tucker of Sikes; daughter, Toya Armstrong and husband Jarrod of Baskin; son, Rev. Todd Tucker and wife Anglea of Harrisonburg; step daughters, Betty Short and husband Bobby of Ferriday, Karen Molnar of Haughton; step son, David Johnese and wife Katherine of Jonesville; grandsons, Holden Armstrong, Dakota Tucker, and Tucker Armstrong; step grandchildren, Kaitlin Johnese, Grant Molnar, Blake Short, Casey Molnar, and Bethany Johnese.
The pallbearers will be Brian Hume, Eric Hume, Jr., LaVerl Shell, James Shell, Justin Shell, Milton Otto Martin III, Blake Short, Holden Armstrong, Tucker Armstrong, and Dakota Tucker. The honorary pallbearers will be the men of Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church.
The family will receive friends at Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010.
