CSI - Haiti MissionHaiti - March 15, 2010 – The team has had a wonderful time the last 3 days ministering to the people of Haiti. We held clinics at Kenscoff, Bizonton, and POP.  The days were a mixture of medical clinics and humanitarian activity. We have worked hand in hand with Missionaries Bro & Sis Brian doing great things for the Lord.

We drove two hours to the end of a long mountain road where the breath of God has kissed this land. We were at cloud level in the cool mist of Kinscoff ministering in medicine at a place of no modern convenience.  Where the closest water is a 30 minute hike down the mountain slope. We treated some 150 people. We passed out food parcels of rice to the church and local villiagers.

So far, this CSI team has treated 414 people, distributed 750 lb of food & hundreds of care packages. We have prayed for the sick. We have demonstrated the love of God on the church and to the stranger on the street.

CSI is ministering to scores of people daily. What you have given is doing a work of compassion to the most needy area in the Western Hemisphere. The people of Haiti tell you, “merci beaucoup!” .

Today was a great day. We test loaded the truck today. It will hold 80 five gallon buckets! We held an event today for the ladies of around the headquarters area at the request of Bro Laportte. He suggest we remember our neighbors since they know we moving supplies through here. We also gave of the first fruits to the ministry here at headquarter. We passed out 51 buckets so far. It will be a little tricky maintaining order with this particular item. Bro Brian’s leadership in the matter is crucial. The ladies were excited to receive these mystery buckets. They will be well used.   See Pictures

We met with David Lloyd of Bon Repo today. He operates a significant work here giving children a life at an orphanage he founded some 12 years ago. Abby, Amanda, and Janelle specifically brought several suit cases of blessing for the 58 children living there. We gave them a case of care packages as well. This was a most rewarding experience.

We finished the day driving across town in heavy traffic to deliver a wheel chair to the family of an elderly bed fast woman. She could barely stand with assistance. Glenda and I taught the family some lifting and moving techniques moving from the bed to chair with will make care easier. After a word of prayer, we left heading home after dark.

Please see the photos of the days events. We plan another bucket drive tomorrow.
God Bless,

Randy “Butch” Clark, RN, EMT-P
