joeldemosMinnesotta – March 14, 2010. Keith Ellison has drawn another challenger for his seat in the 5th District: Joel Demos, the associate pastor at Christian Life Center in Golden Valley, a Pentecostal (UPCI) church. (Hat tip MinnIndy.)

We haven’t been able to get Demos on the phone yet, but when senior pastor David Kent was asked this morning if Demos is running, he replied: “That is correct.”

The 5th district has been in DFL hands since 1963. Barb White Davis, who ran as a Republican against Ellison in 2008, told Sue Jeffers on KTLK radio recently that she’s seeking the Independence Party’s endorsement this year to try again. Lawyer Lynn Torgerson is also running as an independent against Ellison.

We do need an Apostolic in office to help lead this country back on Biblical foundations instead of man’s stupidity
