cap-and-diplomaSacramento, CA - May 06, 2010. Apostolic School of Theology (AST) has recently granted acceptance to many UPCI Bible college graduates. This is historic, since in most cases, accredited universities do not accept students with unaccredited Bible college degrees. The Masters program started last August with 15 students and has grown to more than 30 students. With this great news about the acceptance of UPCI Bible college graduates, they expect many more to enroll. AST has increased dramatically and has over 100 students full time at the present.

While many of the graduate students have accredited bachelor degrees from secular universities, a number of them have bachelor degrees from colleges such as Christian Life College, Indiana Bible College, Jackson School of Ministry, and Texas Bible College. The UPCI Bible College graduates are not accepted across the board, but are accepted on a case by case basis. However, as of yet none of these applicants have been turned down.

Increasingly many Bible college graduates have been frustrated that after four years, their degrees were not recognized by the government or by other universities. With AST’s recognition of UPCI Bible college graduates, this is good news for many.

AST is an institute of Hope International University located in Fullerton, California. Because AST is part of Hope International University, all of the degrees programs are completely accredited with WASC. The graduate degree that AST offers is a 36-unit Masters in Ministry and has four optional concentrations: Christian Leadership, Intercultural Studies, Church Planting, and Worship (Music). The courses are setup in a very convenient manner where students take the courses completely online in 7 weeks. There are no specific times that the students have to meet which makes it very convenient for ministers.
