Like so many others, Bro. Ewing’s ministry was a real inspiration to my life. Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that’s been changed….

Thank you Bro Ewing for being a yielded anointed vessel that preached and sang for the Lord Jesus Christ! You have inspired and blessed multitudes!

Bro. Murrell Ewing has been undoubtedly the most anointed singer of our time. What a gentle man. And great preacher. I’ll never forget being 5 or 6 years old and going with my parents over to the Bellflower church and seeing the Conquerors Quartet sing ‘Palms of victory, crowns of glory, palms of victory I shall wear!’ He’s got em now!

My family knew the Ewing family from the beginning of their life in Lake Charles.
They lived in our house on Lincoln St. and visited in our home in Topsy. Sis Joan and I were playmates, enjoying the many visits she made to her grandmother’s house near where we lived. It is so easy to love Bro Murrell and Sis Joan…always smiling, so happy to see their friends.
I am fairly positive that Bro. Murrell met my mom and dad near the Pearly Gates, spending time catching up. He is in a better place….but he will be missed.

Such a great sadness I feel, for the loss to the church, his family and Sister Joan. and it is mixed with joy, for he is with His savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
As he is reunited with loved ones and friends, beholding the face of the one he has served many years, knowing that soon the loved ones he left behind will soon join him in that wonderful tomorrow. Thank you brother Ewing for the joy and worship and anointing of your wonderful songs, written by your wonderful wife. As my husband, Bro. Allen Anderson, prepared for his final journal, we were allowed to play music at his bedside, the favorite, “Your ride is on the way”
Thank you and God Bless you all.
    Sis. Anderson

Another name has been added the the “Hall of Faith” (Heb 11). I always looked to him as a “Gentle Giant”. One who was kind, yet bold in the cause. My special memory is the “Saturday Hero” message. God bless the Ewing’s, and their extended families & friends at this time…..truly a going home party for a great man “of God”!
