When James Calvert went out as a missionary to the cannibals of the Fiji Islands, the ship captain tried to turn him back, saying, “You will lose your life and the lives of those with you if you go among such savages.” To that, Calvert replied, “We died before we came here.”

Christ was born to die that we might live. Christians should put more emphasis on the death, burial and resurrection than the birth of Christ. Repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost are what we should celebrate.

How money can keep something quiet, for so very long, amazes me. Why aren’t more people held accountable for the abuse, the drugs etc. why do they get a pass because of who they are? It’s not like they have changed their ways, know they are wrong, want to live right and let God judge them, no. They just pay off whoever it takes.
